Philip deMenaPhil deMena is a well known veteran in real estate circles, having been involved with more than 2,500 store openings. He began his distinguished real estate career with British Petroleum before joining Burger Chef in the mid ‘70s as national real estate manager. He later joined KFC and served as director of corporate development for five years. In 1988 deMena joined Blockbuster, ultimately becoming its chief development officer. He was involved in some 1,700 Blockbuster openings and a NYSE IPO during his tenure. He also held senior development positions with both Kenny Rogers and Papa Johns, where he oversaw 700 Papa Johns openings in two years. Previously deMena served as senior vice president of Home USA during a period that included a NYSE IPO and the vertical integration of the US manufactured housing industry. A founding partner of Sunrise Development Services (now CCI) and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) deMena has also consulted on the expansions of Baja Fresh, Dairy Queen, Quiznos, Ruths Chris and ZED451. |
